MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 4538 Joel R. Hanson
Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: February 4, 2000
RE: Rice Street/Little Canada Road Redevelopment Update
I anticipate I will have the proposal from Colliers Towle Real Estate in final form by
Wednesday's meeting pursuant to direction at our past workshop. While there has been no new
information on the alleged theater development, Presbyterian Homes has contacted us regarding
the possibility of a senior living project combined with some other types of development. (They
have involved Kraus Anderson in the review of this matter.) We are attempting to set up a
meeting for the last week of February to discuss this matter further. My goal is to have them as
well as a couple of other projects listed as exceptions on our final draft agreement. If I am not
successful in this regard, the Council should let me know if this would impact your decision to
retain Colliers Towle for marketing the Guerin/Budget Power corner.
JRH:kpp
Page 57
