Hanson <br />Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director <br />DATE: January 21, 2000 <br />RE: No Parking Sign/McMenemy & Little Canada Road <br />Due to numerous near accidents, a resident of Little Canada has requested the establishment of a <br />no- parking zone on Little Canada Road east of McMenemy that would enable a better line of <br />sight to oncoming traffic. <br />I have reviewed this request and recommend that the Council direct staff to establish a no- <br />parking zone on Little Canada Road east of McMenemy that would prohibit parking within 60 <br />feet of this intersection. This would result in the Loss of about two to three parking spaces, but <br />would greatly improve the line of sight to oncoming traffic. (see attached sketch) <br />GS:kp <br />Page 238 <br />
