MINUTES <br />PARK <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />& TRAIL <br />SYSTEM <br />PRIORITIES <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 28, 2012 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held <br />on the 28th day of June, 2012, in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. <br />Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br />Ms. Linda Fahey, Chair <br />Mr. Jeff Heikke <br />Ms. Katie Lolmaugh <br />Mr. Dan Slain <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Ree Dir. <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />The Commission unanimously approved the minutes of the May 3, 2012 <br />meeting. <br />The Parks & Recreation Director submitted a draft listing of potential <br />park and trail improvement projects which he and the Parks Consultant <br />put together. The Director noted that the red numbering in the margin <br />of this document is his priority ranking of these projects. The Director <br />suggested that the Commissioners study this document and that at the next <br />Commission meeting come prepared to discuss their priorities. The goal <br />would be that a final priority listing be worked out at both the July and <br />August meetings. Once that is done, a joint workshop with the City <br />Council would be held so that the Commission can present their <br />recommendation The Director also indicated that the Parks Consultant <br />will estimate the costs of these projects and include it in the priority <br />listing before it is presented to the Council. <br />The Director presented to the Commission copies of two recent emails <br />that he received relative to park and trail improvements. One email was <br />requesting improvements be made to the Nadeau Park area with the <br />person stating that there have been no upgrades to this park for many <br />years. The second was a request for pedestrian improvements along <br />
