MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 25, 2012 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that the owners of the three nuisance <br />properties have made significant progress in cleaning up these sites. <br />Additional contacts will be made, and if the property clean ups are <br />finalized, the abatements will not be necessary. <br />LICENSING The City Planner reported that in some cases where a business holds both <br />FOR an indoor car sales license and an auto repair license the indoor space for <br />INDOOR auto sales display is being taken up by vehicles to be repaired. The result <br />CAR SALES is that the vehicles for sale are being stored outside. The Planner <br />suggested that the ordinance be amended to tighten up the conditions <br />related to indoor car sales license, and asked that the Council call for a <br />public hearing to consider an ordinance amendment. The Administrator <br />reported that there are no development applications for August, and <br />suggested that the hearing be called for the September planning cycle. <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -7 -129 β€” CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR THE SEPTEMBER PLANNING CYCLE TO CONSIDER AN <br />ORDINANCE AMENDMENT RELATIVE TO INDOOR CAR SALES <br />LICENSING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />TEMPORARY The City Administrator reported that the City has a limited number of <br />AUTO Auto Salvage Repair Licenses. One license beyond the limit was <br />SALVAGE inadvertently issued, and one business holding this particular license <br />REPAIR will be moving and only needs a license through September 15thβ€’ The <br />LICENSE β€” Administrator requested issuance of a temporary Auto Salvage Repair <br />AUTO PLUS License to Auto Plus Exporter as outlined in his July 20, 2012 letter. <br />EXPORTER Once that license expires on September 15th, the number of licenses issued <br />will be in compliance with the Code. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -7 -130 β€” APRPOVING A TEMPORARY <br />AUTOMOTIVE SALVAGE REPAIR LICENSE FOR AUTO PLUS <br />EXPORTER AT 182 RYAN LANE SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS <br />13 <br />
