MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 25, 2012 <br />NIGHT TO <br />UNITE <br />HERO'S <br />DAY <br />REPRE- <br />SENTATIVE <br />BEV <br />SCALZE <br />PRELIMINARY <br />& FINAL <br />PLAT — <br />YORKTON <br />RIDGE <br />ESTATES <br />Blesener reminded the public that Tuesday, August 7th, is Night To Unite. <br />There are currently 19 block parties scheduled in the City. Any additional <br />neighborhoods interested should contact the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department to schedule their block party. <br />Blesener proclaimed Saturday, July 28, 2012 as Twin Cities Heroes Day <br />in Little Canada in recognition of those who have served our country in <br />military uniform over the last decade and in conjunction with the <br />Celebration of Heroes Day parade that day. The parade will be held on <br />July 28th at 11 a.m. in downtown Minneapolis. <br />Blesener reported that the League of Minnesota Cities has recognized 23 <br />legislators, including Representative Bev Scalze, for their efforts on behalf <br />of local governments. Blesener thanked Representative Scalze for her <br />on behalf of Little Canada and the District she serves. <br />Blesener opened the continued Public Hearing to consider the Preliminary <br />and Final plat for Yorkton Ridge Estates consisting of three single - family <br />residential lots. It was noted that the City Planner, City Engineer, and the <br />Planning Commission have recommended approval subject to conditions. <br />Blesener noted that action on this proposal was tabled in June pending <br />resolution of an ownership issue. Linda Brown, Stantec Consulting <br />Services representing TCF, reported that TCF owns the property and the <br />potential purchaser has cancelled her purchase agreement for this property. <br />TCF would like to proceed with the plat as proposed. Brown indicated <br />that TCF is in agreement with all recommended conditions, including the <br />requirement to enter into a Development Agreement with the City for this <br />property. <br />There was no one else from the general public present wishing to <br />comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Keis, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -7 -125 — APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY <br />AND FINAL PLAT FOR YORKTON RIDGE ESTATES SUBJECT TO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY <br />PLANNER, CITY ENGINEER, PLANNING COMMISSION, AND <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR WHICH INCLUDES A REQUIREMENT <br />2 <br />
