MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 22, 1999 <br />CUP FOR OPEN <br />AND OUTDOOR <br />STORAGE — <br />208 RYAN LANE — <br />METRO <br />CLEANING <br />CUP FOR OPEN <br />AND OUTDOOR <br />STORAGE — <br />3172/3174 <br />RYAN LANE — <br />CARLSON <br />SALES & <br />SERVICE <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99 -6-145 — APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT TO ALLOW OPEN AND OUTDOOR STORAGE OF <br />TRUCKS AND EQUIPMENT AS AN ACCESSORY USE AT 3168 <br />RYAN LANE, ROYAL EXCAVATING, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ZONING <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND SUBJECT TO SUBMISSION OF AN <br />ACCEPTABLE SITE PLAN <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Fahey noted that the Planning Commission has tabled action on <br />this Conditional Use Permit at the request of the applicant until their next <br />meeting. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99 -6-146 — TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR OPEN AND OUTDOOR <br />STORAGE REQUESTED BY METRO CLEANING, 208 RYAN LANE, <br />PENDING A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing to consider the application for open <br />and outdoor storage of equipment as an accessory use for 3172/3174 Ryan <br />Lane, Carson Sales & Service. The Planning Commission recommended <br />approval of the CUP subject to compliance with the recommendations of <br />the Zoning Administrator. <br />Iris Hunt, Carlson Sales & Service, appeared before the Council and <br />indicated that she had no problem meeting the recommendations outlined <br />by the Zoning Administrator. The curbing they would install would be <br />temporary in nature so that it could be removed during the winter months <br />so as not to interfere with snow removal. <br />The Zoning Administrator indicated that Carlson Sales & Service does not <br />want to blacktop their rear parking area. They would like to surface the <br />rear parking lot and the storage area with Class V. <br />Page 22 <br />
