D.N.R. CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, INC.
GENERAL CONTRACTORS BUILDERS ' CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS
RECEIVED MAY 2 7 1999
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Rd
Little Canada, MN 55117
RE: CUP in Ryan Industrial Park
Dear City Administrators,
Please find the enclosed site plans and documents as requested for the application for a CUP for
our property at 3171 Spruce street. We purchased this property approximately 2 years ago and at
that time inherited quite a mess. We have been doing our best to improve the conditions of our
site over this 2 year period. We feel our site looks 100% better now than it did 2 years ago. We
are still cleaning up after the previous owners and intend to continue to do so until everything is
acceptable to us as well as the city. Due to inherited renters and debris this is a slow process.
We have added on to the building and have replaced all windows with top of the line modern
windows and siding as a result of the addition. All exterior doors have been replaced with
commercial grade quality doors. We have also installed all new concrete sidewalks around the
building. We have updated, added and replaced all exterior lighting around the perimeter of the
building. I met with Gary Wilzbacher the Ramsey Co Crimes Prevention Officer to review our
property recently. He stated that what we have done to our site and lighting was one of the best
jobs he had reviewed. He stated he would not change anything we had been doing, with the
exception of doing a better job of locking the gate! We have invested a great deal of time and
money into the appearance of our building and still have a list of things we want to complete.
We are in the construction business as our name implies, this really helps in designing a hopefully
crime free building and at the same requires a need for outdoor storage. We try very hard not to
keep any materials in inventory. It is not cost effective for us to inventory materials that are
exposed to the weather. However, we do have small amounts of lumber that ends up in our yard
from time to time. We presently have two semi trailers on site and are trying to get rid of one of
them. We have three trucks on site that we inherited at the time of purchase and have been told
they will be leaving in the near future. We also inherited a couple of cement mixers that should
also be leaving in the very near future.
Office: 651- 484 -6521
Ryan Page 73
317.
Little Canada.
