Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: August 20, 1999
RE: Blacktern Office Park — Preliminary Plat
DaVern Construction
MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaVaile
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
DaVern Construction has requested that the Council consider approval of the Preliminary
Plat for Blacktern Office Park at its August 25th meeting. Based on the recommendation
of the Planning Commission and the review of the City Planner and City Engineer of
original plans, revised plans were submitted late Wednesday afternoon by DaVern
Construction. Given the short review period for the Planner and Engineer, their reports
will not be available until early the week of August 23`d. Upon receipt, these reports will
be delivered to the Council in order to give you an opportunity to review this matter prior
to Wednesday's meeting.
You will note from the revised plans attached, that DaVern has eliminated one townoffice
units. The original plan proposed 18 while the revised plan shows 17 units.
DaVern is also applying for a filling and grading permit at this time. They are proposing
to do tree removal and disposal as well as bring in approximately 13,000 cubic yards of
fill.
Page 25
