MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 22, 1999 CUP FOR OPEN AND OUTDOOR STORAGE — CITY GARAGE The City Planner noted that outdoor storage is required to be screened. He again pointed out that the ordinance amendment qualifies the outdoor storage in the Public District as needed for health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Little Canada. The Planner suggested, however, that the amendment could be further qualified by requiring that outdoor storage of materials be an accessory use to a municipal maintenance facility. Council agreed. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was closed. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 99 -9 -253 — INSTRUCTING CITY STAFF TO MODIFY THE ZONING CODE AMENDMENT RELATIVE TO OUTDOOR STORAGE OF MATERIALS AS AN ACCESSORY USE IN THE PUBLIC DISTRICT TO LIMIT THE STORAGE TO ACCESSORY USES TO A MUNICIPAL MAINTENANCE FACILITY, WITH THE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO BE CONSIDERED BY THE COUNCIL AT THEIR OCTOBER 13, 1999 MEETING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. It was the consensus of the Council to table action on the application for Conditional Use Permit for open and outdoor storage of materials as an accessory use at the City Garage until the October 13, 1999 Council meeting. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 99-9-254 — TABLING ACTION ON THE CUP FOR OPEN AND OUTDOOR STORAGE OF MATERIALS FOR THE CITY GARAGE UNTIL OCTOBER 13, 1999 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
