MAYOR
Michael L Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Sealae
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 -4538 Joel R. Hanson
Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director
DATE: October 22,1999
RE: Water Tower Inspection
To protect both the capital asset and our water system's integrity, periodic inspection and
maintenance of the City of Little Canada's water tower is required.
A scope of work was prepared and proposals requested to inspect our 1,500,000 gallon
hydropillar water tower. Proposals were received from Liquid Engineering Corporation and also
from KLM Engineer, Inc. Based on a two -day float down inspection, KLM Engineering's
proposal at a cost of $3,600 is the lowest proposal received.
I have reviewed the proposals submitted and find that KLM Engineering, Inc.'s proposal meets
the requirements of our scope of work and is fair and reasonable. I recommend Council approval
of KLM Engineering, Inc.'s proposal of $3,600 for the inspection of our water tower.
GS:kp
PAGE 206
