MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 -4538 Joel R. Hanson
Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Directoeaa
DATE: December 9, 1999
RE: Maple Leaf Court Drainage Improvements
Partial Pay Estimate No. 1
The Maple Leaf Court drainage improvement project includes the construction of an erosion
control blanket/riprap swale, the construction of curb and gutter along County Road D, and
improvements to the catch basin north of County Road D. The original contract amount is
$50.960.00
Howard R. Green's staff inspected this project while the work was being performed and
recommends payment of $48,917.11 and retainage of $2,574.59 for a total of $51,491.70. I have
inspected this project in the field and reviewed Partial Pay Estimate No. 1. The increase is
primarily due to an increase of the wood fiber blanket used on this job. Based on the above, I
recommend payment to the contractor in the amount of $48,917.12 and retainage in the
amount of $2,574.59.
GS:kp
Page 181
