MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
OCTOBER 14, 1999
The Zoning Administrator reported that since there is no specific
criteria established in the Zoning Ordinance for a transportation
terminal, the recommendations contained in her report are based on
use and size of the building.
Keis asked about screening the bus parking area, The Zoning
Administrator reported that given the size of the buses, they are
classified as storage, therefore, the parking area must be screened.
Mr. Rossow has agreed to screen this area. Given its location,
screening will have to be added to the front entrance gates to the
parking area.
Rossow reported that the front of the property is narrow and access
to the bus parking area is through two gates. Screening will be
added to these gates.
There was no one from the public present wishing to comment on
this matter.
It was noted that the use at 194 -196 Ryan Lane is similar to this
use. Barraclough suggested that the two properties be considered
together. The Zoning Administrator pointed out that they are two
separate lots of record, therefore, two separate CUP's were
required. The Zoning Administrator also pointed out that for 194-
196 Ryan Lane there is both an accessory use and principal use
being proposed.
The Zoning Administrator noted that here report for 3164 Ryan
Lane recommends a total of 81 parking spaces — 75 for bus parking
and an additional 6 for employee parking. Rossow replied that he
had no problem in complying with the recommendations of the
Zoning Administrator.
Mr. Barraclough recommended approval of the Conditional Use
Permit for open and outdoor storage of equipment as an accessory
use at 3164 Ryan Lane subject to compliance with the
recommendations for the Zoning Administrator as outlined in her
report dated October 7, 1999.
Motion seconded by Carson.
Motion carried 5 — 0.
Page 11
