ce4 Yt44 cāagieeek
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: May 7, 1999
RE: Conditional Use Permit Amendment and Fill Permit for Gordie's
MAYOR
Michael I. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
As was discussed at our last Council meeting, this item was continued until our meeting on May
11`h. Gordie's is to provide us with a new site plan addressing issues such as location, lighting,
and screening. They are also to provide us with a fill permit application indicating the work to
be done in this regard. Due to some last minute difficulties, they were not able to get this
information to us in time for the agenda materials. We assume they will arrive prior to Tuesday
night's meeting and that staff has adequate time to review.
I have only had one call on this matter since our last meeting. It was from one of the people
present at that meeting. Otherwise, this issue has been quiet. The previous calls were most
concerned about screening. While the boot hockey rink will not be any closer to the building
than was previously indicated, it's more northerly location will extend it's exposure to a greater
number of units when considered in conjunction with the volleyball court. Mr. Cossack
indicated at our last meeting he would be willing to address that through some type of screening
program.
JRH:kpp
cc: Dick Cossack
Page 7
