Y2K Team — Resolution was adopted by City Council appointing Elizabeth <br />Mursko as the City's Y2K Coordinator and authorizing staff to take the <br />appropriate steps to draft policies addressing Y2K issues and contingency plans. <br />2. Policy Statement — Y2K Team is in the process of drafting a policy statement to <br />city staff and the general public explaining the City's Y2K readiness efforts. The <br />statement will make it clear to all city staff and the general public that the Y2K <br />effort is a high priority for all city operations. <br />3. Y2K Staffing Requirements — City Staff and the Y2K coordinator drafted <br />staffing requirement and restrictions needed to implement the City of Little <br />Canada's Y2K preparedness and readiness plans. The material was distributed <br />to staff members at the April 20, 1999 staff meeting. <br />4. City System Inventory — The Y2K team has drafted a city systems inventory <br />and have completed a "tour" of the city's facilities to assess city systems. The <br />Y2K Team established a target completion date of June 30, 1999 for the <br />inventory, assessment of city systems & vendor contact. As of this date, the <br />inventory is 80% complete and will be modified as needed throughout the action <br />plan. The inventory includes city systems, equipment, service providers and <br />interfaces. The assessment of city systems and vendor contact is 30% complete <br />and will be the primary focus over the next two months. The team has not <br />identified any Y2K non - compliant equipment, except as mentioned below, thus <br />far. <br />5. City Computer System — The city system fixes and testing has been completed <br />for City owned computer hardware and phone system. A Y2K problem has been <br />identified in the computer operating system. The City plans to purchase a new <br />computer network operating system that will be installed later this year.
