The City has designated a Y2K team of key staff to implement a Y2K action program. <br />The City Staff team will be identifying possible Y2K problems and develop contingency <br />plans to help ensure public health and safety is protected. The team members are: <br />Julie Manville -Camp, Accountant <br />Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director <br />Elizabeth Mursko, Assistant to City Administrator <br />The Y2K team will take the following action steps: <br />r <br />Organization of <br />City Efforts <br />or Inventory <br />\ <br />Assessment & <br />j".. Vendor Contact <br />2 <br />Fixes & �� Contingency <br />Testing Planning <br />The team is in the process of drafting a policy statement establishing the City's goals <br />and intentions related to the Y2K problem. The statement will make it clear to all city <br />staff and the general public that the Y2K effort is a high priority for all city operations. <br />This policy will support the development of comprehensive contingency and strategy <br />plans to prevent and reduce the consequences of Y2K- related problems. <br />The City Staff will keep a record of efforts related to Y2K awareness, assessment and <br />resolution. The record will include minutes of relevant meetings, actions taken, and <br />contacts with vendors. <br />To ensure city Y2K efforts surrounding this policy are properly coordinated and <br />timetables are adhered to, a city staff team member should be designated as the city's <br />Y2K project coordinator. Elizabeth Mursko has been designated as the proposed Y2K <br />project Coordinator pending City Council approval of resolution. The team has established target dates of <br />completion for this project. "Inventory ", "Assessment & Vendor Contact' will be <br />completed by June 30, 1999.
