This may not be necessary,
depending the amount of traffic congestion in the city.
• The plan update should contain any information on the needed right -of -way for transit, bikes and
pedestrians. The plan update does advocate expanding existing transit service and facilities and has a
map showing future trail facilities, but it does not mention the need to acquire right -of -way to build
the future trail system or expand transit facilities. Nor does it describe how the city proposes to
preserve or acquire it.
• The plan update should include provisions for minimizing access to principal and minor arterials in
the community. The
plan update should include a map of existing service routes, location of facilities and Little Canada's
vision for the future. The city should contact Metro Transit planning staff for information about
possible planned transit improvements.
Implementation
For more information on Implementation, please contact Jim Uttley, AICP, Office of Local Assistance at
651- 602 -1361.
