Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaVaile
Steve Morel=
Bob Pedersen
ADMIMSTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Chris Imdieke has been offered a Maintenance Worker I position with the Village of Saint
Anthony at a pay rate of $14.66. Chris is currently being paid $13.80 per hour by the City of
Little Canada for his work as a Maintenance Worker I.
We recommend that Chris' wage be raised to $14.60 (one step up on his pay scale) to enable as
to keep Chris employed with our City. Chris has agreed to stay employed with the City of Little
Canada at the new rate.
This recommendation is based on the following reasons:
1. Chris is a good employee that performs his job very well.
2. The loss of Chris would result in the departure of much knowledge on the operation
of our new Vactor which would delay implementation of our sewer cleaning program
for several months.
3. The known departure of Merri Nadeau this fall (she has indicated she is going to
school full- time), along with Chris' departure now, would cut the knowledge base of
our Public Works Department in half. Thus, negatively impacting Public Works
knowledge and work activities far into next winter.
4. There are sufficient funds in the City's budget to cover this wage increase.
Page 118
