enforcement of the code shall be in accordance with Minnesota Rule part 1300.2100 and <br />as modified by Chapter 1305. <br />(B) Permits, and Inspections, and Fees. The issuance of permits, and conduction of <br />inspections, and collection of fees shall be as provided for in Chapter 1 of the UBC authorized in <br />Minnesota Statute 16B.62, Subdivision 1 and as provided for in Chapter 1 of the 1997 Uniform <br />Building Code and Minnesota Rules Parts 1305.0106 and 1305.0107. The issuance of building <br />permits and permits within a right of way shall b pursuant to Sections 501.030 and 501.010 of the <br />Little Canada Code. Permit fees shall be assessed for work governed by this Code in accordance <br />with UBC Table No. 1 -A and fee schedules as may be adopted from time to time. In addition, a <br />surcharge fee shall be collected on all permits issued for work governed by this Code in accordance <br />with Minnesota Statute 16B.70. <br />(C) Surcharge. The appli ant shall pay a surcharge in tho amount fixed by State law. <br />of Administration. <br />(C) Signs. A permit shall be required for all wall signs, pylon signs, roof signs, <br />projecting signs and bill boards. <br />(D) Survey and Corner Stakes. The owner or developer of any residential, commercial <br />or industrial property being built upon shall provide a survey of the subject property, have stakes in <br />place on the corners of each such lot, shall stake the location of the building, and shall establish the <br />grade elevations for inspection purposes prior to the inspection of the structure footings by the <br />Building Official. <br />(E) Driveways. Driveways for vehicular use shall be a minimum width of nine feet and <br />shall be constructed of crushed rock, bituminous cement or concrete. The design of, and the <br />materials used for, all driveways shall be in accordance with engineering standards prepared by the <br />City Engineer and approved by the City Council for bituminous or concrete driveways only. <br />(F) Performance Bond for Exterior Improvements. In a case where screening, <br />landscaping or other exterior improvements to property other than the principal building itself are <br />required by ordinances, plans and specifications as approved for a building, other use of the property, <br />or by appropriate Council resolution, a performance bond shall be required as a condition precedent <br />to the issuance of the building permit. The amount of such bond shall be at least equal to, and shall <br />not exceed, twice the amount of the cost of such required improvements as estimated by the Building <br />Official with the exact percentage to be set by the Council. <br />301.040. VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES. <br />er -bath.
