Professional Redevelopment Resources, Inc.
2300 Central Ave. N.E., Mpls., MN 55413
Ph: (612) 789 -5151 0 Fax: (612) 738 -1011
Toll Free: (800) 553 -2092
21 January, 1999
Mr. Wayne Westphal
Harold's Shoe Repair, Inc.
2826 Rice Street
Little Canada, MN 55113
Dear Mr. Westphal:
2= Ililllillll
EE
1FO .;
gy3
This letter is a follow -up to our phone conversation yesterday.
You indicated that you disagreed with my categorization of the plumbing expenses in your claim
and stated that a toilet and a sink were, in fact, property used as a part of the shoe repair business.
I re- iterated my conclusion that these improvements were more closely characterized as
modifications necessary to accommodate the business or to make the structure suitable for
conducting business. Please keep in mind, however, that even though they are categorized as re-
establishment expenses, I am recommending payment of these costs.
I have passed along your concerns to the City of Little Canada and the City is taking the issue
under consideration. Once the City makes a final determination on the matter, you will be notified
of this determination. If you disagree with the final determination, you will then have the right to
appeal. Until that time, however, any request for appeal will be premature.
1 intend to continue to work with you in assembling your relocation claim in the interim. As
always, if you have any questions, please feel free to call.
Sincerely,
cc. Mr. Joel Hanson
Page 5
