The City Engineer stated that it should be safe to assume settlement is completed below the
piping, but that differences in materials installed to support the pipe and used as fill can still yield
settlement into the future. He noted that the County will address these conditions to the best of
their ability.
Another resident asked if a stop sign could be installed on Edgerton at B2 to make it easier to
turn onto Edgerton from B2. The City Engineer stated that was not likely given the high
variance in traffic volumes of the two roadways and the negative impact this could generate for
Edgerton. He explained that traffic engineers typically look at delay times for traffic from B2
turning onto Edgerton. Those standards would not support a stop sign at this location.
A resident asked when drawings will be available to review. The City Engineer explained that
they are typically not done on a recycle project because these are considered maintenance
projects for the County. There will be drawings for concrete curb and gutter and the drainage
improvements which will be available by no later than April 15`h. The City Administrator stated
we can send a notice out to the residents when they are available providing them the opportunity
to stop by City Center to review them and ask any questions as they desire.
Another question was asked about what will happen with the water that comes from the south
side of B2 from the Highway 36 area. Brad Lindeman indicated that this water will flow under
B2 and tie into the old ditch that is being re- established in the vicinity of the east side of 711
County Road B2. (This is the current drainage pattern.)
There were no further questions from those residents in attendance. The City Administrator then
noted a great deal of cooperation has occurred between the Ramsey County Public Works,
Ramsey - Washington Metro Watershed District, and the City that is allowing this project to
proceed. He stated that while the drainage improvements proposed are not perfect, they are the
most viable option to address current problems. He then thanked the residents for attending at
which time the meeting was adjourned.
Page 5
