We feel that it is important to <br />forge a strong collaboration with the City of Little Canada as we both seek to serve the older <br />adults of this community. <br />The North Suburban Senior Council, Inc. was incorporated in August 1975 as a tax exempt, <br />non - profit 501(c)(3) with the sole responsibility of providing leadership and fund development <br />for the Roseville Area Senior Program. The mission of NSSC is to provide quality services <br />and programs for persons over the age of 55 for the purpose of maintaining an independent <br />lifestyle and enriching the quality of life. <br />The NSSC Board currently meets once a month on the second Tuesday morning of the <br />month. We may be changing this schedule in the future to every other month. Currently we <br />have board positions for one or two year terms. All board members are required to be on a <br />standing committee which meets on the same Tuesday at 9:00 am followed by the board <br />meeting from 10:00 am to approximately 11:45 am. I have also included the mission <br />statement, vision and values of the North Suburban Senior Council for your information. <br />Please give your thoughtful consideration to this request. We feel having someone from the <br />City of Little Canada on our Board would be an important asset.
