All other provisions of the <br />Retainer Agreement as approved, and as subsequently amended, <br />remain in effect. <br />(A) Civil legal services covered by retainer. <br />The services included in the retainer are the attorney's <br />reports, agenda reports, non - appellate research, ordinance <br />drafting, review of customary contracts and leases, <br />consultations with the administrative staff, City Council, <br />and other City employees, legal opinions, attendance at two <br />Council meetings per month, and the ordinary and usual day <br />to day City legal work. For these services the Attorneys <br />shall be paid a retainer fee of $2,250.00 per month. <br />(B) Criminal legal services covered by retainer. <br />These retainer services include preparation for and <br />attendance at arraignments, court trials, pre - trials, jury <br />trials, and all other legal work that is necessary relative <br />to the processing and concluding the prosecution of <br />misdemeanor offenses committed within the geographic limits <br />of the City. For these services the Attorneys shall be paid <br />a retainer fee of $3,500.00 per month. This retainer fee <br />does not include legal services relative to gross <br />misdemeanor and appellate criminal work, and does not <br />include legal services relative to attendance in St. Paul at <br />the downtown custody arraignments. <br />Page 21 <br />
