FRATTALONE <br />EXCAVATING & GRADING, INC. <br />3066 Spruce Street • St. Paul, MN 55117 <br />(612) 484-0448 • Fax (612) 4844839 <br />The Honorable Mike Fahey, and <br />Members of the City Council <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />515 Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />RE: Extension of time — Recycling Permit <br />Dear Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council: <br />I respectfully request an extension of time to renew my permit for recycling in the City of <br />Little Canada, <br />Pursuant to my agreement with the'city in 1993, I have established a permanent building <br />as office space for this business, and I have extended the screening berm along the entire <br />north side of the yard. <br />We make it our constant vigil to have a neat operation, keeping the dust under control <br />and maintaining a clean street in the vicinity of our yard. <br />I feel our gravel recycling enterprise offers a real service to the community, and saves <br />taxpayers money by recycling debris into a usable product. <br />Some counties and municipalities impose a tax on gravel removed from the Bound, but <br />this does not apply to recycling. I would however, be open to some sort of fee or tax as <br />an extra incentive to promote this type of operation in Little Canada.
