MINUTES
City Council
May 28, 1986
Hazard
Property
Division
(Cont.)
Twin Lake
Shores 2nd
Addition
Agenda
Item No. 4
umiaggalla
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86 -5 -203 - APPROVING THE
EARL HAZARD PROPERTY DIVISION AS SUBMITTED
SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS
OF THE CITY PLANNER AS CONTAINED IN HIS APRIL
30, 1986 REPORT AND SUBJECT TO ANY UTILITY/
DRAINAGE EASEMENTS AS DETERMINED NECESSARY
BY THE CITY ENGINEER
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Nardini, Fahey.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 15, Page 205.
Fahey opened the public hearing on the preliminary plat of the Twin
Lake Shores 2nd Addition.
Mr. Blaine Edmundson, representing Margaret Mitchell and Charles
Mitchell, appeared before the Council requesting approval of the
preliminary plat. Edmundson also stated that the Mitchell's were
not in agreement with the Planner's recommendation of dedication
of additional road easement on the north side of their property.
Edmundson reported that Mrs. Mitchell dedicated additional easement
in this area previously so that Mr. Klidzejs, the propertyowner
to the north, could access the back of his property.
Edmundson reported that Mrs. Mitchell does not want or need a road
in this area and has adequate frontage on Twin Lake Road to
subdivide Lot 1 in the future if she so desired. Edmundson also
reported that Mitchell was not in favor of being assessed for any
road improvement on the north.
Mrs. Scalze felt that the City had to plan for the future
development of the Mitchell property by providing the road
easement at this time.
Nardini pointed out that the Mitchell property consists of 95,000
square feet and it would be poor planning not to require the road
easement at this time.
Mr. Fahey pointed out that the Mitchell property would not be
assessed anything, if the road were never improved.
Mr. Blesener indicated that the Klidzejs property is developed to
the extent that it can.
The Planner indicated that Klidzejs has access to one lot from
Twin Lake Road and two others from this road easement.
PAGE 10
