MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
JUNE 9, 1999
ADJOURN
Knudsen recommended approval of architectural review for signage for
Hardee's at 3354 Rice Street as requested by the applicant on the basis
that the total number and square footage of signs is being reduced, and that
the sign proposed for the building is a dimensional sign versus
individually lit letter sign as well as the fact that the applicant has
indicated there are no other options from Hardee's corporate office.
Motion seconded by Montour.
Motion failed 2 to 3. Carson, Kraemer, Duray voted against.
Mr. Carson recommended denial of the Hardee's request for an
illuminated building sign and indicated that all signage for the Hardee's
Restaurant at 3354 Rice Street should meet the City's Architectural
Guidelines.
Motion seconded by Kraemer.
Motion carried 3 to 2. Knudsen and Montour voted against.
It was noted that final action on the Architectural Review for the Hardee's
Restaurant signage proposal will take place at the June 22 "" City Council
meeting.
Mr. Knudsen moved that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Carson.
Motion carried 5 — 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:35 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy Glam(zer
Deputy Clerk
PAGE 179
