Comparable Community Analysis <br />MGT provides an extensive, point-valued system for selecting comparable communities to help ensure <br />data is being collected from like communities. <br /> <br />Job Evaluation <br />MGT provides a 10-factor job analysis system, built into a tool that can be easily utilized by staff for <br />future scoring. Staff recommends including the optional job description project as part of this process, <br />as they will be updated to reflect the 10 factors, ensuring continuity between evaluation and <br />description. <br /> <br />Employee Engagement <br />As part of this process, MGT will work with the city to provide communications for employees. MGT <br />will also lead virtual employee meetings to walk through the entire process. Employees will also <br />complete an employee questionnaire. MGT will additionally interview an employee from each position <br />to better understand their role. <br /> <br />Optional Services <br />Staff is recommending including the two optional services at a cost of: <br />• Benefit Analysis: $3,600 <br />• Job Description Updates: $5,175 <br /> <br />Both of these tools will be beneficial for staff to have a full view of our offerings and how we compare <br />in the market, while creating documentation that is concurrent with job evaluation. <br /> <br />MGT has reviewed the attached professional services agreement and only proposed changes to the <br />payment schedule (milestone payments), which staff and legal have agreed to. Otherwise, all terms <br />have been confirmed by MGT. <br /> <br />Strategic Priority: <br />N/A <br /> <br />Source Of Funds: <br />One-time use of fund balance as discussed in the 2026 budgeting process. Staff is recommending <br />including both optional services for a total of $30,825. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendations: <br />Approve execution of a Professional Services Agreement for Compensation and Classification Study <br />Services with MGT Impact Solutions, LLC, and authorize the City Administrator to sign the contract. <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />• Attachment A: Professional Services Agreement <br />• Attachment B: Proposal (Exhibit A of Agreement)
