GENERAL CITY INVENTORY
This Chapter contains the statistical inventory
data which is applicable to the City of Little
Canada as a whole. Inventory information
which applies specifically to one of the sub -
districts is discussed within the appropriate
chapter.
Most of the data in the Inventory chapter is
taken from the 1990 U.S. Census of Housing
and Population. Some of the information has
been manipulated to apply more specifically to
Little Canada, For instance, rather than a
population projection, this chapter includes an
estimate of the saturation population of the
City. This is due to the fact that the vast
majority of Little Canada's land has been
developed. The pace of development on the
remaining lands, or redevelopment of the
existing areas, will depend on market
conditions.
Following the raw statistical data, a series of
"Issue Areas" are highlighted for the purpose
of identifying land use conflicts or
redevelopment areas. The land use treatment
of each of these areas are discussed in the sub-
district chapters. It is expected that these issue
areas will be addressed by a combination of
development proposals and City zoning
enforcement activities over time. The issues
area included here to help identify possible
development or redevelopment sites in either
public or private actions.
Page 79
