MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 12, 1990
VENETIAN
INN -
OUTDOOR
LIQUOR SALES
(( 1/7L!{'S
120$ fil7U
cts
cl /1)/ C
'
CLOSED
SESSION
ERICKSON
ASSESSMENT
ordinance amendment to address the zoning fees, the
City's fee schedule needs to be reviewed and updated,
and the City must look at the policy issue of recouping
the unpaid developer costs. The Administrator
suggested that one solution may be to set up a blanket
development agreement required to be signed by
developers wherein they agree to pay costs with review
points set up so that developers can review the costs
and determine if they want to proceed. He concluded by
stating he will continue to research the matter and
then formulate a recommendation to the Council.
Joe Vitale, Venetian Inn, reported that the Venetian
Inn would like to hold an outdoor boxing match in
their parking lot on July 17th. There would be sale
of liquor in conjunction with the boxing match. Vitale
asked what type of liquor license the City would
require.
Biesener pointed out that this was done a couple of
years ago, and he thought that the Sheriff's Department
had some requirements that had to be met.
Council requested staff to research this issue and
communicate with Vitale on what will be required. It
was suggested that the matter be placed on the agenda
of the next Council meeting.
Due to pending or potential litigation, the City
Attorney requested that the Council go into closed
session following the meeting to discuss the Ganzel and
Johnson easement matters.
Mr. Biesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90 -6 -277 - CALLING A CLOSED SESSION OF
V THE COUNCIL FOLLOWING THIS MEETING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (5) Biesener, LaValle, Scalze, Fahey, Collova.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
Council reviewed the City Administrator's letter dated
June 6, 1990 regarding the Erickson waterman
assessment.
Scalze reported that there was a similar situation on
Morrison Avenue, and the City abated the assessment in
Page 13
