11. GENERAL EXPENSES. The City recognizes that certain expenses of a non - personal and
job affiliated nature will be incurred by Schroeder. The City agrees to reimburse or to pay
said expenses, subject to approval by the City Administrator.
12. HOURS OF WORK. The position of Public Works Director will require over an average of
forty (40) hours per week to successfully discharge the duties assigned. It is also understood
that the position will require occasional attendance at evening meetings and weekend
meetings. It is understood by Schroeder that additional compensation, overtime
compensation, and compensatory time shall not be allowed with reference to any such
additional expenditures of time. It is further understood that Schroeder may absent himself
from the office to a reasonable extent in consideration of extraordinary time expenditures for
evening and weekend meetings at other than normal working hours subject to approval of the
City Administrator.
13. AUTOMOBILE. Schroeder shall be assigned a take -home vehicle at the City's discretion
for business use. Schroeder will be responsible to reimburse the City for personal use of the
vehicle at designated rate and pursuant to IRS regulations. Schroeder shall be paid mileage
at the rate established by the City (currently $.325 per mile) to use his personal automobile
for City business. This rate may be adjusted by the City from time to time in conjunction
with changes to Internal Revenue Service regulations.
14. "AT WILL" EMPLOYMENT. Schroeder understands and agrees that his employment
with the City of Little Canada is "at will" and may be terminated without cause, without the
need to indicate a specific reason, and with or without notice at any time at the option of
either himself or the City of Little Canada.
Page 39
