MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
JUNE 11, 1998
FINAL PLAT —
PETRINA PARK
TERRACE
SECOND ADD.
Flanagan indicated that he personally has no objection, but again noted
that he has had complaints from the elderly residents at Fluer Royal.
Those elderly residents are afraid to voice their complaints.
Frank Frattalone reported that two of his sons and some of his employees
play volleyball at Gordies, and the operation has been a good one.
Frattalone stated that he knows that Dave Cossack tries to be a good
neighbor and makes every effort he can to do so.
DeLonais reported that the Planning Commission has a copy of the
Sheriff's report for Gordies for the past year, and there are no calls
resulting from the volleyball. DeLonais also pointed out the five letters
from Fluer Royal residents in support of Gordies.
Keis recommended approval of the amendment to the Conditional User
Permit allowing Gordies outdoor volleyball six nights per week until 10
P.M. each evening as well as up to three tournaments per year contingent
upon submission of an adequate screening plan as determined by the City
Planner, and if any complaints are received about the volleyball operation,
that will be basis for bringing the CUP back in for review.
Motion seconded by Barraclough.
Motion carried 7 — 0.
Frank Frattalone appeared before the Commission requesting Final Plat
approval for Petrina Park Terrace Second Addition. Frattalone pointed
out that the plat consists of the three western-most cul -de -sacs south
of Allen Avenue as well as the entire right -of -way for Allen Avenue.
Frattalone indicated that the Planner raised the question of the number and
width of pedestrian connections to Pioneer Park. Frattalone reported that
this was discussed as part of the Preliminary Plat, and the decision was
that one connection was adequate and that a 10 -foot width was also
adequate.
Frattalone reported that Allen Avenue is paved, and the three cul -de -sacs
will be paved when the final lift for Allen Avenue is put on in the fall.
Montour recommended approval of the Final Plat for Petrina Park Terrace
Second Addition as submitted subject to compliance with any
recommendations of the City Engineer and Public Works.
4
Page 20
