North Suburban <br />Tobacco Compliance Project <br />Falcon Heights • Maplewood • New Brighton • North St. Paul • Roseville • Shoreview • White Bear Lake <br />Your city will pay for. <br />- Law enforcement personnel costs (partially subsidized by the U of MN research grant). <br />- Approximately $16.40 per license to cover costs of underage buyers' wages, liquor, <br />photocopying and NSTCP coordinator mileage. <br />The U of MN is offering to assist us with two compliance checks annually at each outlet for a <br />minimum of two years. <br />The U of MN staff will contact you in the near future to provide additional information, identify <br />any additional needs you may have, and discuss how the subsidy funds can be used most <br />effectively. They will also be glad to attend any public, business group, or city council meetings <br />at which adoption of the project may be considered. <br />I strongly urge you to consider this program. The University's resources, experience, and funding <br />afford us a great opportunity to start this project with minimal work and expense. I will contact <br />you to see if you have any questions.
