To: City Counsel
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Mn. 55117
From: Richard Kimmes
2429 Edgerton St.
Little Canada, Mn. 5517
Ph 483 -5308
Date. 3 -20 -1998
RECEIVED till? 2 3 1999
Re: Mr. David Farley's request for variance at 777 East Viking
Drive, Little Canada, Mn.
I will be out of town when this request comes before the counsel
March 25th. I own the property along Gilanderi St to the West
which is presently in the preliminary planning stages.
As the Gilanderi Plat progresses and questions arise about lot
lines, street location and street redsign, it becomes important
to know building locations in respect to those boundaries.
Since Mr. Farley's new addition is very close to Gilanderi Street
it is even more concerning.I believe it is a reasonable request
of the City Counsil before granting a variance, the Counsil
require Mr. Farley to obtain a certified land survey that shows:
1. The existing roadway of Gilanderi Lane.
2. The City's Easement for Street in relation to his west
property line.
3. The existing loacation oZ Mr. Farley's improvements in
relation to his boundaries and in relation to the existing
street.
Without a survey to show the above, there are simply not enough
facts to justify approval of the variance.
I am not opposing the variance and in no way suggesting that
Mr. Farley be required to move or take down his addition,
however,I believe it is reasonable to require Mr. Farley to
provide proper documentation before a variance is granted. Thank
you.
Respecfully submitted,
Page 1
