City Council Members of Little Canada, My name is Dan King and I have lived in Roseville my entire life, For the last four years I've helped the owner of the building fix and clean up the property. There were several set backs especially after the roof collapsed, necessitating an entire remodel of the building. The remodel is finished and the building really looks nice. The building is not currently licensed for an auto sales business use. However, it would be suitable for this business and it is in a prime location in Little Canada. I am 46 years old, and from a very young age, I've had a passion for cars, and have had considerable success in locating vehicles for others through auctions and the internet. For years I have had a desire to obtain a used car dealer's license as I feel that I could turn my hobby into a successful business given the right location and the City of Little Canada's zoning for a used car business. I know the location is not currently zoned correctly for this license however there is a long history of auto related businesses at this location. I ask that you please give consideration to changing the zoning requirement so I could obtain a used car dealers license through the state and operate a business from the site in question. I pride myself in being an honest, trustworthy, and hardworking individual. I am an Eagle Scout and as such learned the importance of being true to yourself and others around you. I am a graduate of the University of Montana in Missoula, and currently have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I consider myself a high achiever, and failure is not an option. I have been successfully employed from my teen years on and am married with three wonderful children. Two of my children are at Roseville High School and the youngest is at Emmet D. Williams in Roseville. I have much experience in buying and selling used cars, I know I could build a very nice and reputable business from this location. I have also worked for the City of Roseville at the Skating Center for nearly 30 years. I can give you many references if needed. Trust me you will never have any code violation issues if you grant this change. I would keep the place very neat and I promise it would be a business the city would be proud of.
