INFORMA- <br />TION <br />UPDATE <br />PAPERLESS <br />AGENDA <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 2012 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 26th day of <br />September, 2012 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Acting Mayor Richard Montour called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Acting Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mayor Mr. Bill Blesener <br />City Administrator <br />City of Roseville <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Mr. "Terre Heiser <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />Acting Mayor Montour opened the information update workshop <br />meeting. <br />Keis reported that this is an issue that he has raised over the past few <br />years, indicating that he preference would be to receive his agenda <br />packet electronically. Keis indicated that the questions he has would be <br />how he could make notes and highlight an electronic agenda and save <br />those notations. <br />Terre Heiser, City of Roseville IT Manager, reported that there are <br />applications that make it easy to highlight and make notes on electronic <br />documents. He also reported that there are many different tablet devices <br />that can be used by Council Members for receiving /downloading their <br />agenda packets. Heiser reported that only the Public Works <br />Transportation Commission at the City of Roseville has gone to electronic <br />packets. These commissioners use their personal laptops for their packets. <br />With regard to the type of device to use, Heiser reported that a lot of cities <br />have gone to iPads or laptops. Android tablets are less expensive and are <br />another option. An agenda packet can be downloaded to any of these <br />devices and can be annotated. Fleiser indicated that an option is to allow <br />individual Council Members to use whatever device they are most <br />comfortable with. He pointed out the City of St. Anthony's policy <br />
