MINUTES <br />PARK <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />& TRAIL <br />SYSTEM <br />PRIORITIES <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 4, 2012 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held <br />on the 4th day of October, 2012, in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. <br />Chair Linda Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. and the <br />following members of the commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Ms. Linda Fahey <br />Mr. Jeff Heikke <br />Ms. Katie Lolmaugh <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Dan Slain <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Rec Dir. <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Parks Consultant <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />The Commission unanimously approved the minutes of the August 16, <br />2012 meeting. <br />It was noted that just prior to this evening's regular meeting, the <br />Commission met in workshop session with the City Council to review <br />the proposed programming of Park Improvements & Trail System <br />Priorities within the City's General Capital Improvement Budget, <br />Infrastructure Capital Improvement Budget, and Park Land Acquisition <br />Budget. Based on the workshop discussion, the consensus of the <br />Commission was to move forward with two projects during 2013 — <br />"Refurbish Fire Barns Warming House" and "Improve Nadeau Park ". <br />While the General Capital Improvement Fund discussed at the workshop <br />included funding for playground equipment upgrades in 2014 (Nadeau), <br />2015 (Pioneer), and 2016 (Spooner), the discussion at the workshop was <br />
