MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
,NNE 24, 1998
PITRINA PARK
TERRACE
SECOND
ADDITION
ROSEWOOD DRIVE WHICH CAUSE THIS PROPERTY TO
BECOME A CORNER LOT, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH
THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AND THE
PLANNING COMMISSION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Scalze, Fahey.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The City Administrator reported that the minutes of the May 25, 1997
Council meeting indicate that the cul -de -sacs within the Pitrina Park
plat are to be private streets. The development agreement makes
reference to public and private improvements, but does not spell out the
details.
Fahey indicated that any approval of the Pitrina Park Terrace Second
Addition final plat should be contingent upon the cul -de -sac streets in the
original plat being made private.
Frattalone stated that he had no problem with the cul -de -sacs being
private. His only concern was that some of the units have been sold, and
the property owners may have purchased their units with the
understanding that they abut on a public street. Frattalone indicated that it
was always intended that Allen Avenue would be a public street.
The Administrator recommended that the final plat be tabled at this time
until staff can meet with the developers to decide how the matter can be
resolved.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 98 -6-151 - TABLING ACTION ON THE PITRINA
PARK TERRACE SECOND ADDITION FINAL PLAT SO THAT
CITY STAFF AND THE DEVELOPER CAN ADDRESS THE ISSUES
OF THE PUBLIC VERSUS PRIVATE CUL -DE -SACS AS WELL AS
PEDESTRIAN TRAIL CONNECTION WITH A
RECOMMENDATION TO BE BROUGHT BACK TO THE COUNCIL
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen, LaValle.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
Page 12
