MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NNE 25, 1997 <br />Pedersen asked if the business would be company owned or a franchise. <br />Benedict reported that the corporate lease will be long-term. However, <br />Tuffy's may bring in a handpicked franchisee. It was pointed out that this <br />will be the first Tuffy's store in Minnesota. Tuffy's plans are to develop <br />about 25 stores in the State. <br />There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Morelan, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-6-150 - APPROVING THE REZONING OF <br />THE PROPOSED TUFFY'S SITE TO AUTO-ORIENTED BUSINESS <br />(8-2) AS WELL AS THE OTHER ZONING AND SUBDIVISION <br />APPROVALS AS OUTLINED 13Y TIIE CITY PLANNER IN ORDER <br />TO ALLOW THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FIVE (5) 13A Y, 3,680 <br />SQUARE FOOT AUTO SERVICE FACILITY FOR TUFFY AUTO <br />SERVICE CENTER ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />APPROXIMATELY 2310 RICE STREET SUBJECT TO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION AS LISTED IN THEIR MINUTES <br />DATED JUNE 12, 1997 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Fahey, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (1) Scaize. Resolution declared adopted. <br />AMEND Mayor Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider an amendment to <br />ZONING the City's Zoning Ordinance that would allow for administrative <br />CODE— review of home occupation permit renewals. The Planning Commission <br />HOME has recommended approval of the amendment. <br />OCCUPATION <br />PERMIT There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment <br />RENEWALS on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />Page 57 <br />
