CITY OF LITTLE CANADA RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2026-5-64 RESOLUTION CHANGING THE POLLING PLACE OF LITTLE CANADA PRECINT 2 FOR THE AUGUST 11, 2026 STATE PRIMARY ELECTION WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 204B.16, subd. 1 requires the City Council, by ordinance or resolution, to designate polling places; and; WHEREAS, the Little Canada City Council has designated Little Canada Elementary School as the polling place to serve all territory in Little Canada Precinct 2 located in the City of Little Canada, Ramsey County, Minnesota; and, WHEREAS, the Roseville Area School District has informed Ramsey County Elections Office that they will not allow Little Canada Elementary School to serve as a polling place for the State Primary Election; and, WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 204B.16 allows changes to the polling place locations at least 90 days before the next election if one or more of the authorized polling places become unavailable for use; and; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Little Canada City Council hereby changes the Precinct 2 polling place for the August 11, 2026, Election from Little Canada Elementary School, 400 Eli Road, Little Canada, Minnesota to Little Canada City Hall, 515 Little Canada Road East, Little Canada, MN 55117. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is directed to send a copy of this resolution and any subsequent polling place designations to the Ramsey County Elections Office. AND BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 204B.16, subd. 1a, the County shall send a notice of change in this polling place location to each affected household with at least one registered voter in the precinct. The notice should be sent at least 25 days before the next election by nonforwardable mail stating the location of the new polling place.
