City of Little Canada <br />July 13, 1998 <br />Page 2 <br />The services that are included in this proposal are as follows: <br />A. Services <br />1. Business Relocation Services Implementing the Project <br />a. The Consultant will distribute an informational <br />booklet on business relocation assistance and all <br />appropriate forms and data to each business expected <br />to be displaced. At this time the Consultant will: <br />1) Obtain a signed receipt for the informational <br />statement provided by the Consultant in <br />accordance with applicable regulations. <br />2) Explain the business relocation program and the <br />business's responsibilities to receive benefits. <br />3) Explain how to receive various kinds of <br />assistance in finding new locations. <br />4) Survey the business's relocation needs. <br />b. Upon the Contractor's initiation of negotiations to <br />acquire the project site, the Consultant will: <br />1) Analyze the existing data to determine the <br />appropriate documentation required and determine <br />the eligibility of the business's relocation <br />expenses for compensation. <br />2) Check the personal property inventory against the <br />acquisition data to verify that each item on the <br />inventory is personal property and eligible for <br />relocation. <br />3) Assist the business in determining the more <br />advantageous payment alternative to claim and <br />provide further instructions on how to proceed. <br />c. Moving Expense Claims. <br />1) Assist the business in preparing specifications <br />for work generally eligible for compensation. <br />2) Advise when necessary on procedure to obtain <br />required bids. <br />r) CON Page 29 K <br />
