City of Little Canada <br />July 13, 1998 <br />Page 3 <br />3) Act when appropriate as agent in regard to <br />accepting bids. <br />4) Analyze the bids to determine their <br />reasonableness. <br />5) Notify the business of the low acceptable bid. <br />6) When appropriate inspect the move of personal <br />property while in progress. <br />7) Assist the business in assembling all invoices, <br />paid receipts, and other documentation necessary <br />to substantiate its relocation claim. <br />8) When necessary analyze billings to determine <br />their reasonableness. <br />9) Assemble the appropriate claim form and <br />documentation for signature and submission for <br />approval. <br />d. Direct Loss Claims. <br />1) Develop a moving cost estimate and secure a <br />direct loss appraisal for each item not to be <br />moved. <br />2) Obtain business and contractor approval of the <br />appraisal and moving estimate. <br />3) Notify the business to proceed with the sale and <br />provide instructions regarding necessary record <br />keeping. <br />4) Assist when necessary in the preparation of <br />advertising. <br />5) If necessary determine that bonafide sale <br />requirements have been met. <br />6) Assist the business with preparation of necessary <br />documents and obtain required certifications of <br />sales receipts, advertising, and so forth. <br />rCOIF Page 30 <br />
