RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION RECONFIRMING WATER, WATER SERVICE CHARGE, AND SEWER RATES FOR 1'HE <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada's sewer and water ordinances provide for establishment of rates by Council <br />resolution, and <br />WHEREAS, rates have been previously set by this method. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA that: <br />1. Effective January 1, 1997, water charges for the City of Little Canada were established as follows: <br />$1.82 per 1,000 gallons during 151 & 4'h quarters <br />$1.88 per 1,000 gallons during 2nd & 3`d quarters <br />Commercial accounts are charged State sales tax on the dollar amount. <br />2. Effective January 1, 1993, water service charges for the City of Little Canada were established as follows: <br />$13.32 per SAC unit as determined by the Metropolitan Council. However, businesses w/o water <br />are charged a maximum of 3 SACs. <br />3. Effective January 1, 1998, sanitary sewer charges for the City of Little Canada were established as <br />follows: <br />Residential — connected to City water: <br />$2.31 per 1,000 gallons with a $37.50 per dwelling unit minimum per quarter. Based on 1st quarter's <br />water usage. (not to exceed $75 per quarter for single family homes) <br />Residential — not connected to City water: <br />Charged $37.50 per dwelling unit per quarter. <br />Residential — multi family homes (apartments, condos) connected to City water. <br />$2.31 per 1,000 gallons with 70% of $37.50 per dwelling unit minimum per quarter. Based on <br />quarter's water usage. <br />Residential — multi family homes (apartments, condos) not connected to City water: <br />Charged 70% of $37.50 per dwelling unit per quarter. <br />Commercial: <br />$2.31 per 1,000 gallons with a $37.50 per quarter minimum. <br />1St <br />The adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Council Member and upon vote taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: <br />And the following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Council this _ day of <br />1998. <br />Page 66 <br />
