La the event <br />that a Twenty -five Dollar ($25.00) administrative charge is to be <br />certified for the unpaid water charges, pursuant to Section <br />1601.340, the Twenty -five Dollar ($25.00) administrative charge for <br />unpaid sewer charges shall be waived. <br />(F) Exceptions to the annual sewer rates set forth above <br />Shall apply to senior citizens and disabled citizens who otherwise <br />would be subject to sewer use charges. Any such senior citizen or <br />disabled citizen, as hereinafter defined, shall become eligible for <br />the reduced rate of 50% of the annual sewer rate by signing an <br />affidavit affirming:that he or she is owner and head of the <br />household at his or her address and is receiving Retirement <br />Survivors Insurance or Disability Insurance under the Social <br />Security Act. Affidavits for this purpose shall be provided by the <br />City <br />and acknowledged by a Notary Public. For the purpose of this sub- <br />section, a senior citizen shall be a person sixty -five (65) years <br />of age or older, the owner and head of a household, and entitled to <br />benefits under the Social Security Act. A disabled person is <br />defined as one who is sufficiently disabled as to qualify for <br />Disability Insurance benefits under the Social Security Act and is <br />also the owner and head of his or her household. The reduced rate <br />established by this Ordinance shall be subject to change by <br />resolution of the City Council. <br />205 -12 <br />Page 72 <br />
