(B) Collection of Unpaid Amounts. If such charge for services <br />is not paid within thirty (30) days after the last day of the <br />billing period, there shall be a late charge of ten percent (10 %) <br />of the amount owing for the previous billing period added. to the <br />ethArge by the contracted hauler(s). The City Council may certify <br />to the County Auditor with the taxes against the property served. <br />the amount unpaid, which shall be collected as other taxes are <br />collected.. There shall be a fee of <br />added to the unpaid amount if it has <br />for collection. <br />to be certified. to the County <br />(C) Exemptions to Service. Exemptions will be allowed to the <br />organized mixed municipal solid waste collection program in the <br />following situations. Residents must apply for these exemptions at <br />City Hall. <br />(1) Residents who own and operate a business within the <br />City of Little Canada. The business must have a vat that the <br />residents are paying for. and using for their residential refuse. <br />(2) Residents who are out of town on vacation a minimum. <br />of one month. <br />(D) Subsidies to Service. The. City of Little Canada will <br />subsidize service in the following situations_ Residents must <br />apply for these subsidies at City Hall. <br />(1) A subsidized cost of at -the -door refuse collection <br />service for physically handicapped residents_ <br />(2) A. subsidized cost of half of the minimun level (30 <br />gallon) refuse collection rata for residents who's annual household <br />income is at or below the very low income level established by the <br />US Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br />(E) Recyclable Materials. The materials designated as <br />recyclable shall be the sole property of the City or its designated <br />contractor from the time set out for collection by the residents. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, other than the City or its <br />designated contractor, to collect any items that are designated as <br />recyclable materials and set out for collection as part of the <br />City's curbside recycling program. <br />809.150. PROMULGATIONS OF RULES AND REGULATIONS. The City <br />Council may make such administrative regulations and rules as may <br />be necessary and proper to regulate, enforce and implement the <br />provisions of this chapter. violation of any such. rules or of the <br />provisions of this chapter shall be grounds for suspension or <br />revocation of a license to provide collection service. <br />809.160. VIOLATIONS. Any person, entity, firm, or <br />corporation violating any of the provisions of this Chapter. shall <br />809 -8 <br />Page 73 <br />
