Curb stop boxes will be installed at an <br />approximate depth of seven (7) feet below the grade established by <br />the Plumbing Inspector. Type r copper tubing shall be used for <br />installation of water service. <br />1601.260. SUPERVISION OF PLUMBER. BOND REQUIRED. All piping <br />connections from curb box to house supply piping shall be made <br />under the supervision of a plumber or a water sewer installer, <br />subject to inspection by the Utilities Department. Any person, <br />tirm or corporation so engaged as a plumber or water sewer <br />installer will be required by the City to furnish a surety bond in <br />the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) and will be <br />required to file with the City Clerk a certificate of insurance <br />evidencing coverage, the sufficiency of which shall be determined <br />by the City Clerk, before a permit shall be issued. <br />1601.270. TURNING ON WATER. No person, except an authorized <br />City employee, shall turn on or aft any water supply at the stop <br />box without permission from the Plumbing Inspector. <br />1601.280. LAWN SPRINKLER RESTRICTIONS. The use of the <br />municipal water system for lawn sprinkling shall be regulated as <br />provided in this Section. In the event the City Council determines <br />that a water shortage exists, the City Council is authorized to <br />restrict the sprinkling of lawns. within the City by adopting a <br />resolution setting forth. the restrictions. During the period of <br />time set forth in the resolution, all property wita addresses that <br />end. with an odd number may be sprinkled on odd numbered days, and <br />property with addresses that end with an even number may be <br />sprinkled on even numbered days. This Section does not apply to <br />private wells. The violation of any provision of the resolution <br />shall constitute a misdemeanor. Upon conviction thereof, the <br />violator shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding 5700.00 or by <br />imprisonment not to exceed ninety (90) days or both, in addition to <br />the costs of prosecution. <br />WATER RATES AND COLLECTION OF CEARGES <br />1601.300. ACCOUNTS. HOW =PT.
