MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 22, 1998 <br />Fahey indicated that the televising would enhance public participation and <br />communication. He suggested that it could be tried on a pilot basis in the <br />interest of openness and good communication. This would provide an <br />opportunity for seniors to be involved in what is going on in the City. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98 -4 -100 — ASKING THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION AND PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION FOR <br />THEIR POSITION ON THE ISSUE OF TELEVISING OF <br />COMMISSION MEETINGS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />DEBT LEVY The City Administrator recommended that the Council hold a workshop <br />REDUCTION meeting to discuss the formation of a committee to plan for the reduction <br />COMMITTEE in the City's debt levy. Council agreed, and the consensus was to hold <br />that workshop meeting on Wednesday, May 27th at 6:30 P.M. <br />CAPITAL CITY Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />MUTUAL AID <br />AGREEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 98-4-101 —APPROVING THE CAPITOL CITY <br />MUTUAL AID ASSOCIATION RECIPROCAL FIRE SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Morelan. <br />Nays (0).
