MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 13, 1994 <br />CANADIAN <br />DAYS <br />PERMITS <br />Morelan felt that the details should be clarified and <br />discussed with staff, and a policy presented to the <br />Council at its next meeting. <br />LaValle again pointed out that the Council informed the <br />residents of the area that this type of usage of the <br />park would not be allowed. <br />Morelan pointed out that the Council's 1989 motion says <br />restricted tournament usage would be allowed. <br />Hanson stated that he would support the concept at this <br />point pending receipt of additional information at the <br />next Council meeting. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />,RESOLUTION NO. 94 -7 -178 - APPROVING IN CONCEPT THE <br />WINDISH REQUEST FOR USE OF PIONEER PARK FOR A FUND- <br />RAISING TOURNAMENT, SUBJECT TO THE APPROPRIATE LICENSES <br />BEING OBTAINED BY THE APPLICANT, AND SUBJECT TO <br />LIABILITY CONCERNS BEING ADDRESSED TO THE SATISFACTION <br />OF THE CITY STAFF, AND INSTRUCTING THE APPLICANT TO <br />APPEAR AT THE JULY 27, 1994 COUNCIL MEETING TO DISCUSS <br />THE MATTER IN MORE DETAIL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, Pedersen, Hanson. <br />Nays (1) LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94 -7 -179 - APPROVING THE FOLLOWING <br />CANADIAN DAYS PERMITS: <br />*TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA <br />RECREATION ASSOCIATION FOR AUGUST 12, 13, AND 14, <br />1994; <br />*TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE CANADIAN DAYS <br />COMMITTEE FOR AUGUST 12, 13, AND 14, 1994; <br />*ONE -DAY OFF -SITE GAMBLING LICENSE FOR NORTH SUBURBAN <br />YOUTH ASSOCIATION FOR PULL TAB BOOTH AT CANADIAN DAYS <br />ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 14, 1994 <br />21 <br />Page 63 <br />
