<br /> <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2026-6-91 <br /> A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />CLEAN WATER FUND GRANT AGREEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Little Canada is the official governing body <br />of the City of Little Canada; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Session Laws 2025, Chapter 36, Article 2, Section 8(b), <br />appropriated to the Met Council $1,400,000 in funds from the Legacy Amendment's <br />Clean Water Fund ("Clean Water Fund") for State fiscal years 2026 and 2027, for <br />water demand reduction grants to assist municipalities in the metropolitan area with <br />implementing water demand reduction measures to ensure the reliability and <br />protection of drinking water supplies. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Met Council is authorized by Minnesota Statutes sections 473.129, <br />subdivision 4 to apply for and use grants from the State for any Metropolitan Council <br />purpose and may dispose of the money in accordance with the terms of the <br />appropriation. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada’s application to participate in the 2026-2028 <br />Water Efficiency Grant Program was made in April 2026 for reimbursement of a <br />percentage of costs for qualifying eligible devices; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada was awarded $26,000 as part of the 2026-2028 <br />Water Efficiency Grant Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada authorizes Laura Linehan and Evan Glunz as <br />Authorized Representatives for purposes of the Metropolitan Council Clean Water <br />Fund Grant Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada authorizes Bryce Shearen, City Administrator as <br />an Authorized Signatory for purposes of the Metropolitan Council Clean Water Fund <br />Grant Program; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, The City of Little Canada is authorized to receive grants from the Clean <br />Water Fund for a water demand reduction program to implement measures to reduce <br />water demand to ensure the reliability and protection of drinking water supplies. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada represents that it is duly qualified and agrees to <br />perform all services described in this Grant Agreement to the reasonable satisfaction <br />of the Met Council; and <br />
