MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 28, 2012
indicated that they are not involved in this apparent attempt to sell either
water treatment systems to homeowners and also that HomeSery is not
affiliated with the water utility.
Blesener indicated that Little Canada concurs with Watchdog's
recommendation not to share water samples or personal information.
PROPERTY Blesener opened the public hearing to consider the Subdivision of
DIVISION — property at 2608 -2614 Stark Street into two single - family lots as
2608 -2614 requested by North American Banking Company. It was noted that
STARK the City Planner and the Planning Commission have recommended
STREET approval the subdivision.
The City Planner noted that 2608 -2614 Stark Street consists of a series of
25 -foot lots. The applicant is requesting the subdivision into two single -
family lots which meet the City Code minimum standards. The property
is zoned Single- Family (R -1) Residential. The Planner noted that the
survey information provided includes six foot drainage and utility
easements along the proposed lot lines.
The Planner noted that approval of this property division does not certify
that the lots are buildable, just that the subdivision as proposed meets
zoning standards. The Planner pointed out that property that has sat
vacant for some time may be indicative of the fact that there are soils or
other issues. Any extraordinary engineering that may be necessary to
build on these lots is at the owner's /buyer's own risk.
There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Boss, the public hearing was
closed.
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -11 -203 — APPROVING THE PROPERTY
DIVISION SUBDIVIDING 2608 -2614 STARK STREET INTO TWO
SINGLE FAMILY LOTS AS REQUESTED BY NORTH AMERICAN
BANKING COMPANY SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
CITY PLANNER'S RECOMMENDATIONS OUTLINED IN HIS
NOVEMBER 2, 2012 REPORT
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
2
