MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 9, 2008 <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-4-102 -APPROVAL OF THEABATEMENT <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITYAND KATHERINE <br />HAMALAINENAND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />VFD FOR The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's letter dated <br />PIONEER Apri19, 2008 recommending installation of a variable frequency drive <br />PARK and transducer to monitor the pressure in the irrigation system at Pioneer <br />IRRIGATION Park. The Administrator reported that irrigation system breaks have been <br />SYSTEM occurring in the system due to instantaneous high pressure that is put on <br /> the system every time the well pump turns on at the beginning of the <br /> irrigation cycle. The variable frequency drive will allow the start up and <br /> shut down of the pump gradually to minimize any water hammer within <br /> the system and the transducer will monitor the pressure to ensure it is <br /> constant during the irrigation cycle. Only one quote was received for this <br /> equipment from Connelly Industrial Electronics in the amount of <br /> $4,707.52. A second company indicated that they did not submit a quote <br /> as they knew they would not be lower than Connelly Electronics. <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-4-103 -AWARDING THE QUOTE OF <br />CONNELLYINDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS FOR PIONEER PARK <br />IRRIGATION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$4, 707.52 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
