MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
MARCH 13, 1997
Mr. Schletty recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit to
amend PUD allowing a permanent framework structure as requested by
Truman Howell Architects on behalf of Knox Lumber located at 3203
Country Drive subject to limiting the use of this structure to the time
period April r through November In and subject to compliance with the
recommendations of the City Planner as contained in his report dated
March 11, 1997.
Motion seconded by Keis.
Motion carried 5 — 0.
SHED The City Planner highlighted the changes the City Council is considering
ORD. in the shed ordinance. Those changes include a clearer definition of
garage, prohibiting shed, accessory buildings, and garages forward of the
rear building line of the house without a conditional use permit, as well as
the addition of screening requirements should a conditional use permit be
granted allowing a structure adjacent to the side of a house. The Council
also asked that reference to agricultural buildings be eliminated since there
is no land in the City zoned Agricultural.
DeLonais recommended that the ordinance include language requiring a a-
foot separation between a fence and a shed so that the area around the shed
can be maintained. Knudsen indicated that he had no problem with a shed
abutting a fence.
ADJOURN Montour recommended that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Schletty.
Motion carried 5 — 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:53 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy Glam'zer
Administrative Assistant
2
Page 10
